Don’t we look festive? I’ve posted some photos of how we spent New Year’s Eve.

  • Lovely! Those “2006″ glasses really throw my facial recognition for a loop. Almost didn’t recognize in one of those photos.

    • He’s looking quite different at the moment, having gotten contacts and shaved for the first time in, oh, ever. It’s a little disconcerting, even without the 2006 glasses. :)

  • holy spread! do tell- was that a creamy punch, or egg nog, a pudding, or what?

(and of course, you all look so fetching in those glasses and chapeux!)

    • Those were Melon Collie Martinis. By blowing up the photo of the recipe book to its largest size, I was able to make out the recipe to be:

      1/2 shot light rum
      1/2 shot Malibu coconut rum
      3/4 shot Midori melon
1/4 shot white creme de cacao
      1 shot heavy cream
      1 shot milk

Shake with ice, strain into chilled glasses, garnish with chocolate.

Reminded me a bit of an upscale grasshopper. De-lish.
