Finland: Day…what day is it?

After 20 hours of travel and three flights, Pramas and I arrived in Helsinki yesterday. It’s currently about 5am Helsinki time as I write from the enclave of our cozy European hotel bathroom (where I’ve holed up because I do not want to disturb Pramas with my puttering) and we packed in a pretty full [...]

Busy weekend

Kate and Pramas and I were in Portland over the weekend. I crashed the Canby High School Class of ’88 reunion, even though I moved to Minnesota in my Freshman year, and reconnected with several of my junior high school friends, visited with my brother for the first time in a year and a half, [...]

California Travel

Pramas already posted about anything interesting that has happened at ALA so I’ll direct people over there for a run down of who we’ve seen and what the show has been like so far.

When I booked our travel for ALA we made the commitment to attend rather late in the process so hotels [...]

Off to ALA

Heading out to Cali. Green Ronin is kickin’ it bi-coastal, as we do.

Of course, Sammy the Softest Bunny in the World picked the day before our trip to get sick and an unplanned vet visit had to be squeezed in yesterday. Poor little guy has a mass in his tummy and the sniffles. [...]

Book Expo and Blisters

Look at me, blogging!

Upon my arrival in LA it seemed like my experience might not be such a good one. I was at the car rental counter when I realized, to my horror, that I’d left my wallet in Seattle! I use my passport for ID when I travel, so I didn’t realize the [...]

Book Expo

I’m off to Book Expo America and I won’t be back until after midnight Sunday. What are the chances that I’ll have time for blogging while I’m there?

I’ll do my best to update. Hopefully I’ll at least have some new restaurant experiences to share at least!

Crazy Travel is done

My month of crazy travel is finished, for real. Upon my triumphant return from GTS in Vegas I collapsed for half a day in bed and slept like I hadn’t slept for a week (even though I was really good in Vegas and didn’t stay out late or drink overly much). Yesterday was still too [...]

And just like that…

it’s over. GTS technically still runs seminars tomorrow but as far as I can tell, the show is done today. They tried a new format where Monday was set-up day for exhibitors while retailers had seminars, then exhibit hall hours were Tuesday and Wednesday, then more seminars on Thursday. On Tuesday and Wednesday there were [...]

Live from Vegas

Pramas and I spent the weekend in Las Vegas before the GAMA Trade Show officially kicked off. Gabe “Mondo” Vega is eve expanding his ConQuest gaming convention empire and this year he kicked off ConQuest Vegas. We came down to show our support. They had a lovely space up on the 26th floor of Bally’s [...]

Mexico Photos

Food in Mexico Originally uploaded by Nikchick.

Well, it took me a couple of days and I still haven’t labeled them but my photos of Mexico have been uploaded to my Flickr account. I’ve divided the whole thing into three parts: people and places, food and drink, and a whole whack of sunsets.
